Kuranda Koala Gardens

Kuranda Koala Gardens is a small wildlife park in the Kuranda rainforest village. The park is home to various Australian animals like wallabies, wombats, quokkas, gliders, and freshwater crocodiles. Despite its size, the park offers a chance to hold a koala for a souvenir photo, but extra cost and limited availability apply. Alternatively, visitors can choose a Koala Patting Photo. For a different experience, you can have your photo taken with one of the friendly pythons for an extra cost. The park’s wildlife photos are popular souvenirs. The Aussie Bush Collection showcases marsupials and reptiles living together, including Long-nosed Potoroos, Bearded Dragons, and Blue Tongue Lizards. Notably, the park has the only nocturnal exhibit in the Tableland region, giving the chance to see night-loving marsupials up close, such as the Greater Bilby, Northern Bettong, and the rare Mahogany Glider.
