Mount Isa

Mount Isa, known as the "oasis of the outback," is a bustling blend of culture and industry.

It offers fishing, camping, and breathtaking sunsets. Visitors can explore the rugged terrain and marvel at attractions such as the Lawn Hill Gorge and Riversleigh Fossil Fields. The Outback at Isa complex features the award-winning Riversleigh Fossil Centre and Hard Times Mine. The town’s main financial base is the massive Mount Isa Mine. Other attractions include the School of the Air, the Royal Flying Doctors base, the National Trust Tent House, a WW2 Underground Hospital, and the Beth Anderson Museum.
